BVA Featured at Emerging School Models Event

Bridges Virtual Academy (BVA) was on display on September 28th at the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for a conference on emerging school models. BVA's Executive Director John Hagemeister was a featured panelist at the Emerging School Models: Moving from Alternative to Mainstream event. Mr. Hagemeister, along with two other panelists, explored the conditions necessary for success in virtual schools, sharing our school's history and the reasons for our success.

The goal of the conference was to increase the awareness of successful school models for the benefit of other school leaders that may be looking for an emerging school model that “works.” The invitation to this conference was prompted by national recognition of the success of BVA as a virtual charter school and as a unique educational model.
